West Roxbury Bungalow
What began as the rescue of a badly-neglected home, this project entailed transforming an ordinary, 1930's
one-thousand-square-foot bungalow into an Arts & Crafts showstopper. The house was gutted down to the studs in order to transform it into a livable, 21st century family home. A bump-out on the first floor was added with a mud-room. A second-floor shed dormer was added. A forgotten space in the basement was rehabilitated into casual but usable family space. Retaining walls, stairwells, and a subterranean garage were all repaired.. See the slide show below to understand both the scope of project and the startling transformation.
